Catral

Catral is a municipality in the valencian community, spain, located at the south of the province of alicante, in the vega baja del segua region. Considered as the main entrance to the vega baja, it is approximately the same distance to the capital alicante, murcia and torrevieja. It is just 10km to the sandy and pines beach of la marina, 30km from the airport and 10km to orihuela the main town of the region.

Catral has a population of 8690 registered inhabitants from diffrerent nationalities, catral is a freindly, welcoming, low crime rate, quiet and have many super markets, restaurants, shops, bars, coffee houses etc.

The year 2016 catral was declared a touristic municipality in the valencian community with lots of cultural activities, peaceful atmosphere, theater, cinema, cycling routes, observation of birds especially flamencos in the hondo natural park, etc
